Transform Organization Design
Product managers who have become Product Masters have experience and influence like no one else in an organization. While most employees work primarily in a functional department, such as operations, development, marketing, etc., product managers work cross-functionally. They gain a perspective of the organization as a system instead of a set of independent functions.
This is a rare and valuable perspective. Executives need this perspective, but most haven't had the experience needed to gain it.
Product managers do, and they earn enormous influence also on their way to becoming Product Masters.
That is a powerful combination for transforming an organization to reach higher levels of performance. This is why, if they want, Product Masters can become senior leaders and even join the C-Suite.
