Welcome to New Product Development Professional Training

Return to Module 1

Hi There

Hello!

I am so excited you took this step to improve your career and your success!

By preparing for the PDMA’s New Product Development Professional (NPDP) certification, you are going to learn vital concepts to help you be more successful developing products, working with teams, and crafting processes.

If you are a solo innovator, a team member, leading a team, or leading an organization, you will find this material helpful.

Getting the Most from this eCourse

The eCourse is designed to be self-paced, but we know some people want to move through the materials faster than others.  New material is released every 7 days until the course is completed.   This is a good pace to make steady progress.  If you want to go a bit slower, set your own pace — the content is here for the length of your subscription.  Use it anytime you want.

Follow these simple steps to get the most from the training…

  1. Open all the content in each module.  If you really want to learn how to be a more successful new product developer, there are no shortcuts.  Everything in the eCourse is important.  Everything is also numbered — just follow the content in the order of the numbers.
  2. Practice quizzes are also included in each module.  Passing a quiz is a good indication you understand the concepts in a module.
  3. Use the Forums.  The discussion forum is a place for you to collaborate with others in the eCourse as well as instructors.  If you have a question or comment, the Forums are the place to go.  We find some participants engage in the forums and some don’t, but those that do get more value from the eCourse.  Each Module contains a link to the forums.

You are already one step closer to earning the NPDP certification
