Each week I scour articles, wading through the dogs, and bringing you the best insights to help product managers and innovators be heroes.

Product Manager and Innovator - Weekly RoundupFirst principles of product management. Two key principles exist that organize our work. (1) Maximize impact to the mission and (2) Accomplish everything through others. Get the insightful details at https://blackboxofpm.com/the-first-principles-of-product-management-ea0e2f2a018c

Product management is not project management. This statement is often made and I personally don’t like it. It’s a little like saying a knife is not a fork. The best product management articles of 2017. (1) The MVP is dead. Long live the RAT. (2) Product Manager vs Product Owner. (3) Agile Died While You Were Perfecting Your Standup. Why product management mentorship is so valuable. I’m a big fan of product management communities. One reason is because they provide the opportunity to learn from others. In the process, you might find a mentor – someone who shares his or her experience to help you do a better job faster in your role. It is a reason I love teaching product management in my online courses and at universities. It allows me to be a mentor for a period of time to several product managers. Check out this article to see why it is important and how to find a mentor… https://www.productmanagerhq.com/2017/12/the-gift-of-product-mentorship
